Join us
on a "virtual" cycling workout complete with hills, valleys,
straight-aways and finish lines. It doesn't matter whether you're a
novice or advanced cyclist! You will soon discover that you will not
encounter boredom on this stationary bike! If you are new to cycling,
please see an instructor before you begin for proper bike set up. You
may also want to wear biking shorts or bring a padded seat, water
bottles and a towel. Heart monitors are highly recommended. We have one
that you are welcome to try before purchasing. Reservations are
required. Please stop at the front desk for more information.
All
cycling classes are intended to be fun way to train your cardiovascular
system and burn lots of calories. Always remember to adjust the class
format so you can meet your fitness goal. It's your ride!
All
Terrain - Anything goes in this high energy ride! Your instructor will
help motivate you through anything that comes up, including but not
limited to hills, sprints, jumps and runs. The result is a spectacular
workout!
Beginner -
Learn all you need to know about indoor cycling during this 1/2 hour
instructional class. You'll be introduced to proper bike set up, riding
positions, terminology, safety and maintenance. The result, confidence in
your ability to participate in our other exciting rides!
Cycle -
Instructor's choice. You'll be led through a ride designed to improve
your overall fitness and focus. The result, it's up to you! You can take
what the instructor throws at you and use it to meet your own goals.
Endurance
- Challenge your body and mind as you work to maintain a consistent
pace and heart rate. Train your body to work long and steady. The result,
an increase in your aerobic capacity and pedaling efficiency.
HR -
Drills on this ride are designed specifically to improve your heart
health. You will learn all about how to train your heart and how to
measure your progress. The result, knowledge and an incredible fitness
base that you can apply to everything you do.
Interval -
All kinds of moves, all kinds of heart rates during this exciting
ride. train both aerobic and anaerobic intervals with recovery periods in
between. The result, and improvement in your ability to recover from
intense work.
Race
Day - It's you against the clock, just like a time trial. This is a
specialty class that will be offered throughout the indoor cycling season.
We'll announce them ahead of time so you can train for them and come ready
and rested! The result, satisfaction in pushing yourself and a good
measure of your personal progress.
Scenic -
Enjoy the scenery as you are guided through mountains and valleys,
along seasides and through forests. You'll work at a pace appropriate for
your fitness goals and you establish a solid mind body connection. Result,
a deeper appreciation for the power of the mind and its effect on the
physical body.
Strength -
Develop your mental and physical toughness while you focus on
adapting to increasing resistance. Cruise through rolling hills and attack
steep mountains working throughout your heart rate range. The result,
improved muscular and cardiovascular endurance and power.
